Kristen Pitzul


Kristen Pitzul is a PhD candidate in the Health Services Research at the Institue of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Kristen holds a Masters of Science in Physiology and Bachelor of Science in Honours Biology from the University of Western Ontario. Kristen is interested in health system efficiency, with specific interests in the development of quality metrics, evaluation of care transitions, cost-effectiveness analyses, and knowledge synthesis. Kristen's doctoral thesis, supervised by Dr. Susan Jaglal, is focused on the optimization of post-acute care pathways in hip fracture patients.

HSPRN Project Description:
Kristen is currently working on the evaluation of a nurse practitioner-led care transition program that was implemented in the South West LHIN, led by Drs. G. Ross Baker and Walter Wodchis.
