Sidak Kaur



Sidak Kaur (Previous Name: Jaspreet Kaur) is currently working with Dr. Betty Lin and her team at CAMH on a project to develop, as well as test measures of caregiver experience in Ontario. She is a Master's student in the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, under the supervision of Dr. Ross Baker. Her research interests include patient safety, quality improvement, health equity, and social determinants of health. Her thesis will examine the link between working conditions and adverse events in Ontario long term care facilities. In addition, Sidak Kaur has a deep passion for sustaining and improving the publicly funded health care system. She chairs the Students for Medicare advocacy organization and is currently organizing a conference at the Institute for Health care Improvement (IHI) Open School Chapter-University of Toronto as a Co-Conference Lead. Sidak Kaur has also been managing Healthy Dialogue, an undergraduate journal at York University, as a Co-Editor-in-Chief for the last two years. She earned her Bachelor of Health Studies, Specialized Honours in Health Management, from the School of Health Policy and Management at York University. Sidak Kaur has worked with many faculty members as a research assistant and research coordinator in the health and education sector.
